A former Cu mine located in sec. 29, T32N, R6W, MDM, 1.0 km (3,300 feet) E of Monarch Mountain (coordinates of record), in the headwaters area of Dog Gulch, on National Park Service land (Whiskeytown-Shasta-Trinity National Recreation Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
