The history of the mine is obscure and although being worked in the 1840s, production had finished some long time prior to 1878. Attempts to revive the mine under the names Ochrycraig or North Llangynog appear to have be largely unsuccessful as the only recorded returns were made by the old Craig Rhiwarth company - 240 tons of lead ore between 1846-56
