Dines (1956) reported the remains of an engine house and dumps 6 miles SE of Ivybridge and 450 yards SE of Blackdown Camp. A group of silver-lead bearing lodes which in 1847 had been worked to a depth of 14 fathoms and that year raised 16 tons of lead ore. The lodes contained white quartz, barytes and silver bearing chalcocite.
The locality is now extensively overgrown and there are no obvious tips. There is one shaft collar now flooded, that has been turned into a small pond. Immediately downslope of that are the foundations of some walls and then a long, straight leat approximate 1m wide and 1.5m deep, running for at least 200m.
A clump of trees in the field 30m west of the flooded shaft hints at another shaft.
From the flooded shaft a straight furrow crosses the field to a clump of trees where there is potentially another shaft or level and some tip material. The furrow hints at driving rods, though it is marked on the current maps as a watercourse and it is wet. Further north-east again is another clump of trees around a landscaped pond that has all the look of a reservoir.
Despite looking in a number of potential heaps of tip material, other than copious amounts of milky rock quartz no other minerals were noted.
