Other/historical names associated with this locality:
Kunyang Glacier, Khinyang Glacier; Lak Glacier; Lack Glacier
The Lak-Khiang, Kunyang Lak, Kunyang or Khinyang Glacier is the westernmost of the tributaries entering Hispar Glacier from the north. Its lighter colored moraine is dominantly granite and magnesian limestone (marble), whereas the darker, narrower, and more compressed moraine on the southern margin is composed of weathered, iron-stained schist and gneiss.
Note: the glacier was indicated as Lak Glacier by Conway (1894) and Lack Glacier by Roccati (1909).
