Western extension to Woody Bay. Cliffs and coastal exposures accessed only at tide via the old pier. Excursion to the main exposures will additionally require a considerable amount of wading possibly up to the chest, but well worth the trouble. Very interesting locality and mineralogically, much more productive than the main part of Woody Bay with evident Iron, Bismuth, Manganese and Copper mineralisation. The Bismuth minerals occurring there, not yet been able to properly identify. Like the rest of Woody Bay, utmost care is necessary especially with respect to the tide (it comes in at lightening speed). This potentially is really quite a dangerous place !!!
