Structure: Monoclinal Low Westward Dip, About 0.5 W.

Tectonics: Interior Basin- Deltaic Red Bed Margin

Commodity: Pawnee mining and milling co. Operated a mill here before 1935.

Deposit: Probably about 2 acres were stripped. In 1946, malcolm oakes, ogs, drilled 7 holes in area but showed nothing more than what is at the surface. Oakes (1943) visited area with r.r. Moss and c.m. Weston, who did prospecting in area. Fischer (1937, p. 914-915) had first record, then merritt (1940, p. 8), then oakes (1943).

Development: R.p. Fisc her (1937, p. 914-915) has a diagram of area, probably in nw-nw-n W of sec. 24, along creek. He worked between 1933 and 1935. The mill, with crusher, bin, elevator, and flotation units, was intact in 1943.

Geology: The wreford is transitional from limestone to sandstone in this area. Geology by greig (1959).
