Located 2 kilometres east of the Southern Cross bore. The site contains a bench 18 metres long, two inclined shafts, and shallow trenches. J. Vitosky in the 1960's assayed the northern vein at 24% Cu, 4 dwt gold, and 4 oz silver.
Calc-silicate country rock. The main quartz vein is 25 metres long, strikes north-south, dips 60-80 degrees east, up to 0.6 metres wide at the surface and 0.9 metres at depth, with small amounts of primary and secondary copper minerals, filling a shear. The vein contains bornite, and chalcopyrite.
To the east by 90 metres and north-east 145 metres, are a further two small quartz veins, containing chalcocite and malachite.
