Originally known as the Leila, but only one minor crushing found in 1896.

The mine was never a substantial producer. The lease (GML 262) was forfeited in August 1898. Re-named Wah Wah, The Mount Magnet Gold Mining Company, secured the lease. They sunk a shaft to 106 feet. However as it went down the vein became smaller, and with an influx of water, it was uneconomic to continue. August 1899, the company forfeited the lease.

The last report was a small crushing of 5 tonnes at 3.5 oz in June 1901, at what was termed then only a prospecting lease.
