A Tin mine incorporating Porkellis United. An extensive sett incorporating the following lodes, Wheal Cock, North Tymorgie, Horseflesh, South Tymorgie, Wheal Ash, Old mens ( Red Lode) Wheal Foster, Wilkin's, Copes, Bennett's Dale's ( Moyle's) Wheal fat, Ferguson's and Pooleys. Also known as Jantar (Cornwall) and Porkellis Tin Mines. The mine worked intermittently from 1845 until shortly before the outbreak of WW2.
The grid reference marks the engine house ruins at Old Men's Shaft.
