The Elk Creek pegmatite is one of those unusual places in Pennsylvania that sort of slipped through the cracks. There's no published information that I can find on the site. It's a small overgrown workings in a pegmatite, possibly a Korean War era uranium prospect, before they realized pegmatitic material wasn't commercially viable. The site is privately owned, posted and collecting restricted. Minerals include: schorl, garnet, beryl, orthoclase, muscovite, altered zircon, apatite, possible xenotime, and some unidentified uranium minerals. May be the "Lewisville, Elk Township" locality listed by Gordon, with nearly the same mineral list - almandine, black tourmaline, muscovite, plus ilmenite.
