The outcrop is located within a small cut-slope along the local A-6108 road Fuengirola-Coín. The bedrock is featured by interlayering of dark graphite mica schist with polymetamorphic banded pelitic gneiss close to granulite facies (sillimanite-cordierite). Suhailite is preferably contained within the gneiss foliation bands and quartz lenses, as golden "dorado" plates 3-6mm in conjunction with sillimanite, biotite group (annite), quartz, plagioclase, garnet and scarce vermiculite. The metamorphic rock formation dips 20º towards west (dip direction 272/20º) being cut by greenish-grey diabase dyke and pervasive decompression joint sets.
