Jajarkot District belongs to Bheri Zone in Mid-western Region of Nepal and is known for remarkable kyanite and dravite specimens in mica-schist matrix. In the northern mountains also are found pegmatitic minerals.

Khalanga is its main village and official headquarters.

NOTE: Many nepalese kyanite specimens labeled as "Kali Gandaki" are actually from Daha and most of kyanite labeled just "Jajarkot" or "Jajarkot District" are also from Daha.
