A gold mine.Mineralization is a quartz porphyry dike with quartz-filled fractures.
Howey Mine was the first producer (1930-1941) in the Red Lake camp and remains the lowest grade profitable gold mine in Canadian mining history (final average grade 0.08 opt Au, having produced 422,000 ounces gold).
